Well...I don't know if it's a good idea or not, but our neighbors keep a labrador puppy (aka huge, rambunctious, crazy puppy) in their 900 square foot, 2nd-floor apt, and the dog seems to be doing OK. They take it to a dog no-leash park every night to let it get its' wiggles out. Just a thought.
CONGRATS on the contract on the "house"! It's beautiful -- and the kitchen is ENORMOUS! And 3 bathrooms! I'm envying your large selection of locations to do your business in. Very nice. And, that area is so great. So, nice work.
I need this dog. He's so beautiful it hurts me. But again, with the backyard... I'd just feel guilty keeping him in our little house. /sigh

That dog is SO cute. How could you not?! :p You're just going to have to walk him a lot, that's all.
